Zangbeto: a cult of African vigilante warriors of ancient Benin, who stalked the streets at night protecting their communities from crime, invaders and malicious spirits.

In the fantastical world of Akuban, the mysterious swordsman Mezule reluctantly becomes the Zangbeto of the Kingdom of Aldurine. He only accepts because it gives him a second chance at life, and allows him to put his troubled past behind him.

But just as he begins to open up to others, his old clan returns and attacks the kingdom. Now h must choose between his old friends or his new family, or somehow save both of them before they destroy each other.
